17 June 2025 – The School of Educational Studies (SES), Universiti Sains Malaysia, recently hosted a two-day Scholar Talks series featuring Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sedat Gümüş, a globally recognized expert in educational research and leadership.
Held on 16 and 17 June, the sessions drew academic staff members and postgraduate students keen to enhance their research skills. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gümüş’s first talk covered Systematic Review Methodology, while the second focused on High-Impact Journal Publication, both offering practical strategies and valuable insights.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gümüş, currently based at The Education University of Hong Kong, is listed among the top 2% most-cited researchers worldwide and serves on editorial boards of leading SSCI-indexed journals. His sessions encouraged participants to strengthen their scholarly work and navigate the publication process with confidence.
The Scholar Talks series is part of SES's ongoing efforts to build a vibrant academic culture by connecting its community with global thought leaders.
