The children, aged between six and 12 years old, were from all over the Malaysia and included participants from Thailand In the competition, themed Enriching Lives With Beautiful Stories, the children competed in five languages -- Malay, English, Mandarin, Arabic and Tamil. The stories they shared with the audience both tickled and touched the heart. They were also dressed in outfits and costumes that add colour and weight to their stories. Some of them were in army uniforms, some in bunny suits while others were dressed like princesses. Pinks Festival organising chairman Dr Anna Christina Abdullah said the pre-festival event was a collaboration between Universiti Sains Malaysia's School of Educational Studies, SK Minden Heights and the Penang Education Council.
