Dr. Thien Lei Mee

Dr. Thien Lei Mee is currently a Senior Lecturer in School of Educational Studies, Universiti Sains Malaysia. Her areas of expertise are educational management and administration, school well-being, quality of school life, and student learning assessment. Her current research is related to school leadership characteristics, happiness in school, and the diversity of students’ quality of school in three types of Malaysian primary school context. She has collaborative research with Network on Education Quality Monitoring in the Asia Pacific (NEQMAP), UNESCO Bangkok in the area of student learning assessment.
She has published articles in referred journals, including such as Social Psychology of Education, Asia Pacific Education Researcher, Social Indicators Research, Child Indicators Research, Quality & Quantity, and Quality Assurance in Education. She has served as the reviewers for numbers of referred journals such as Asia Pacific Journal of Education, Journal of Psychoeducational Assessment and Social Indicators Research.
At national level, she was the consultant for the Student Outcome Measures (SOM) Project conducted by a Malaysian government-private agency, namely LeapEd Sdn.Bhd, Yayasan Amir and Instrument Development of Preschool Students’ preparedness to Year One Project conducted by Universiti Teknologi Mara, Sarawak, Malaysia.
